The Perfect Reason Stamp of Approval Blog Hop Day 2: Stencil Techniques video

By Laurel on February 6, 2017February 1, 2017

Welcome to day TWO of the Perfect Reason Stamp of Approval blog hop!!!  I have several cards and a video to share with you today featuring a few items from the collection!

Laurel Beard The Perfect Reason Stamp of Approval

There are three days total and different designers are hopping along on each day! And there are prizes! More on that in a bit.  All the hoppers participating in todays hop are linked at the end of this post.  The The Perfect Reason Stamp of Approval collection will be available on the 8th. Just two days from now!!!

To recap for those that may not know – Stamp of Approval is a quarterly hand picked, exclusive collection of products that were designed just for the box. The stamps and dies in the Stamp of Approval Collections  won’t be released for individual sale for several months over at the Catherine Pooler store.    Be sure to subscribe to the Wait List so you will be emailed the purchase link when the collection goes on sale on the 8th!

In the video, I will be focusing on various stenciling techniques using the FANTASTIC stencil that comes in the collection. I got a little over excited, lol! You can watch the video right here on the blog or on my youtube channel in HD by clicking  HERE.

Let’s take a close up look at each card in the video. Since this is a blog hop and you have lots to see and since I made a video, I won’t go into detail about how I made each card. Under each photo, I’ll highlight the products I used from the Perfect Reason collection, which goes on sale on the 8th! The inks are available now in the shop.

Hi Laurel! Hope you’re enjoying the snowy weather! First, what a good idea to tape the back of the card rather than the front! I tear my cards too. So thanks for that idea! You do a great job with backgrounds, and Catherine’s inks really do blend nicely. I really loved how you embossed the flowers and used the leaves as a stem for them. Clever idea and it worked beautifully!

That stencil, along with the “Worry less, giggle more” sentiment, are two of my favorites from this collection. Can’t wait to get my hands on this collection too….I think CP outdoes herself with each new release!! Hope all is well and you finally get to feeling better!! ~HUGS~

Laurel, your videos are ALWAYS so much fun!! I’m always a bit sad when you don’t have one with your cards. LOVE LOVE LOVE all the ways you used your stencil!!! Your cards are BEAUTIFUL!!
I also LOVE all the pics you are sharing of you and your family in the snow…they make me SMILE because you all are having SO MUCH FUN! My grandaughter has been here the last few days and yesterday we played in the snow!!! She is almost 2 and is was a beautiful day here in southern, lower Michigan. Now this is a significant BECAUSE, I am a house body and I have had two back surgeries…I like to go out when it is much warmer and NO SNOW BUT…I was inspired to go out by the sunshine, which we haven’t had much of for quite a while, ANYWAYS!! I was inspired by the sun and the fact that my granddaughter was going home that evening. We had SO MUCH FUN!!! The BEST part though was as we were getting ready to go out the door to take her home, I asked her if she had fun, and this child who’s fave word is…wait for it…”NO!!!”, said to me “YEAAHH”!!! It was a PERFECT moment and a PERFECT end to our visit!!
SORRY I was wordy but I had to share this with you because I was reminded by your pics HOW MUCH FUN it is to play in the snow with my kids!!!!!! Thank you, Laurel, for inspiring me!!!
