I love to make one layer cards! Mostly because it is flat and runs thru the mail nicely…. I’m cheap like that, lol!!! In follow up to this week’s posts, I’ve got another card to share with you using products from the newest release from Ellen Hutson. To see my original post featuring three cards as well as a full reveal product video (plus the giveaway is still going on), go HERE! To see the gold sparkly heart, go HERE.
This card uses images from the same stamp set, Bold Blooms. This set also has some coordinating dies to go along with it. I’m not using them in todays card, but I have an idea I hope to get on film this weekend using them. I inked up the images directly with various colors of Tim Holtz distress inks, spritzed with some water and stamped. That’s really all there is to it. Using these gorgeous thick lined stamped images and the distress inks is a perfect combination to result in gorgeously watercolored florals with very little effort.
To add a bit of texture, I found a new product that I am in love with. In love. It’s this texture spray by IrRESISTible. I love it! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Not only does it provide you with mists of color, but as it dries, it leaves behind a subtle texture! It’s quite gorgeous in person…. To finish off the card, I went around the edges with some Vintage Photo distress ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! 🙂
