One Layer Cards: Same Design Colored 4 Ways

By Laurel on July 6, 2018

Today I have four one layer cards to share with you today all using the exact same layout, but colored in different ways using the  Altenew Artist Markers.. The floral image is from the Starry Nights stamp set. The sentiments are from different stamp sets, which are listed below in the supply list.   First up, the rainbow colored card!

After stamping the image and the sentiment from the Super Script stamp set, I swiped on different marker colors in rainbow order, making sure to overlap each color. Added a little accent with a white gel pen and voila.

Next up, I colored the images with 3 shades of red and outlined the cluster in blue.  The sentiment is from the Bad Days Happen stamp set.

I think the shading of blue really draws you into the image. Since I am not a skilled alcohol marker user, I’ll take anything I can get.

This next card just features simple coloring using only one color.

The sentiment is from the Gradient Stripes stamp set.

And last, the more, ehhhh, unique card of the bunch….. I colored the images from the markers in the Four Scoops color palette and then scribbled on a few colors in the background… Then, I dropped on some Blending Solution on the background and watched happened.

The sentiment is from the Super Script stamp set.

All one layer cards inspired from the One Layer Wonders class at Altenew Academy. I’m working my way to Level 3 certification so I’ll see you back soon with more projects.

These cards are all beautiful Laurel but I’m oh, so drawn to the one done in the shades of red. Normally I’d go for the one in blues so maybe it’s the sentiment that helped grab me on the red one. Thanks for sharing and for being such a wonderful source of inspiration. ~HUGS~

I think the blue shaded card is my favorite. It just pops! But the last card with the blending solution is very cool too.
