*New* Simplicity One Layer Card using lots of Lawnfawn stamps

By Laurel on June 5, 2010

Happy Saturday!!! Weekend is FINALLY here!  I was the first to wake up this morning so I took advantage of my alone time and made a card. I found a blog that I really like from my fellow crafter Ayana.  The challenge was One Layer Wednesday card using repetition. I don’t know that I have ever made a one layer card before. I usually add some small form of ribbon or buttons or patterned paper! In anticipation for the arrival of my new Lawnfawn stamps, I decided to use only Lawfawn stamps on this card. Did you order anything from her latest release? I ordered Critters by the Sea and Harold’s Alphabet! I had an alphabet stamp for years and I promise I probably only used it once. It was a pain because I needed a lot of the same letters and it was hard to join them together. I am excited about this one because she has styled it to where you can join the letters together easily and she gave us multiples of the same letter. Anyway, sorry, off topic.

For this card I used Partly Cloudy and Critters in the Burbs. I used Kelly’s masking video tutorial to help me with the masking portion of the card. First time masker here…. Aren’t the little dogs cute? I am such a dog person, even though I don’t have one anymore…. (Thanks Oreo for a great 11 years). I colored them with copics and used the colorless blender to attempt to make a pattern.

Big plans for the weekend? I’ve got a girls luncheon to attend today and then hopefully at some point, we can go out in our jet ski.. The last time we took it out, I got the rope stuck in the intake and $600+ later, it was fixed. I will NOT be pulling anyone on that thing again…..  Have a great weekend.
