Oh frappe! Yesterday was a snow day and I did NOT get done what I had intended! Grrr….. Today I’m playing along in the current Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge. The Color Trend Inspiration Board is gorgeous! Lots of purples as its Pantone’s color of the year!
I wanted to show you that you can add color to Kraft cardstock! I used a combination of distress inks (exact colors below) and blended the ink directly onto the Kraft. I removed some of the ink (inside the coffee cups) by taking a wet brush and brushing on some water, and then dabbing it off with a clean cloth! This Kraft cardstock is not watercolored cardstock and it holds up remarkably well.
I added a border from the Wonky Backdrop stamp set to tie everything together…. And added a bit of Glossy Accents to the lid of my frappe. Here’s a look at the Color Trend Inspiration piece.

I love that this technique uses Kraft cardstock – I’m adding this to my repertoire! Love it!
This is so pretty!
Super fun stamp sets. I need to add these to my wish list for 2018. Glad to see your creative juices are flowing again;)
You TOTALLY captured the essence of the inspiration piece Laurel! Love the colors and the fact that you used Kraft paper is even better. Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful weekend. ~HUGS~
