Oh Frappe: Ink Blending

By Laurel on January 18, 2018January 17, 2018

Oh frappe! Yesterday was a snow day and I did NOT get done what I had intended! Grrr….. Today I’m playing along in the current Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge. The Color Trend Inspiration Board is gorgeous! Lots of purples as its Pantone’s color of the year!

I wanted to show you that you can add color to Kraft cardstock!  I used a combination of distress inks (exact colors below) and blended the ink directly onto the Kraft. I removed some of the ink (inside the coffee cups) by taking a wet brush and brushing on some water, and then dabbing it off with a clean cloth! This Kraft cardstock is not watercolored cardstock and it holds up remarkably well.

I added a border from the Wonky Backdrop stamp set to tie everything together…. And added a bit of Glossy Accents to the lid of my frappe. Here’s a look at the Color Trend Inspiration piece.
