October Florals two ways: Essentials by Ellen New Release BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Essentials by Ellen November Release! There are so many adorable sets in this release, the snowman and the Sasquatch especially… The Design Team has made some amazing projects using them! The snowman die makes really cute felt ornaments so I am thrilled to announce Ellen Hutson has a new line of felt as well! Lots of felt collections strategically organized by color themes.

None of those items mentioned above I’ve used in today’s post, lol! You’ve got loads of inspiration with those goodies so I thought I would focus on the next installment to the Mondo line…. Introducing Mondo Chrysanthemum. I stamped and die cut the flower and leaves from some pre-made alcohol ink backgrounds I always have on hand… I found some gold cardstock in my stash and applied a thick layer of the NEW NUVO GLACIER PASTE

Adding the texture to the background is an easy way to make your focal point of your card pop, which in this case is the flower!

Next up, Voices in my Head 2. I adore this set…. So many fun and snarky quotes.  I loosely colored some florals around the edges of the card and stamped one of the sentiments from the set in the middle of the card.

When you have a fun sentiment, it can go on any kind of card. If you premake a bunch of backgrounds like I do, making cards is a breeze.

Here is a look at the Totally Random Sayings stamp set…..

I love the one – and then.. people. HAHAHA! I used that on a previous card posted on my youtube channel and got tons of comments about it.
