Hey there! This is a totally NON Crafty post so if this isn’t your thang, then I’ll see you for my next post!
I recently discovered something called LuLaRoe. Now don’t laugh at me if you have heard of this, but I hadn’t up until a week ago… I attended a Facebook Pop Up Party hosted by Jennifer McGuire and was overwhelmed by the excitement and popularity of this line. Seriously, I was about to pop a Xanax, lol! The items were going like hot tamales. That of course immediately pushed my “I have to have this because everyone wants it even though I know nothing about it” button and was able to purchase three things. Since the party, I have bought 10 more things, not even kidding (including shirts, more leggings and two dresses)! I don’t like my body, especially my mid section. So when I find something that works, I have to grab it all up.
Ok, so LuLaRoe. First and foremost, their leggings! HOLY CRAP! They are like magic leggings. I am not a leggings person (or a patterns person, more on that in a second). They squeeze me in the midsection to the point of stomach pain and are super thin in the knee area…. These are like the Sisterhood of the Traveling pants miracle jeans that fit all the girls, lol. They have a ONE SIZE (don’t laugh because I was skeptical too) and a TC (Tall and Curvy). They are soft, like butter! They DO NOT squeeze my stomach area. They fit me like a glove (of course I wear a long shirt because I’m not showing off all my stuff – no thank you), soft and comfie. I even slept in them. They come in solids and patterns. LuLaRoe is apparently known for their patterns. But I don’t do patterns often and I don’t do loud patterns. I just received my first patterned leggings last night and I might try walking out to the mailbox in them and see if I survive. But I own many solid pair now.
They also carry different designs for shirts, skirts and dresses… It really is an incredible collection. Now – they only make a certain number of patterns, disburse to all the consultants (thousands of them) and that’s that. When they are gone, they are gone. Which is why, come to find out, the clothes was going like hot tamales at the pop up I attended. The LuLaRoe regulars knew to grab it while they could because chances are, they won’t find it again.
If you have shopped from a LuLaRoe pop up before or if you know a consultant, don’t feel like you can’t attend other people’s parties. Each consultant is sent their own unique inventory so there is no competition between them.
Am I going to become a consultant? No. I’ve been approached by a few, but I just don’t feel like that is what I should do. But I am going to host my own pop up this Sunday starting at 7PM EST. It will be open for 48 hours.
- It’s hosted on Facebook, so you just need to request join the group by clicking HERE.
- All the inventory will be posted in the albums section and sorted by size (sizing chart for each product provided).
- Just simply type “sold” in the comments section and it’s yours (you will receive an invoice via email). Super easy.
- If you come across an item that has already been commented as sold, you can type in “sold next” and if the first person changes their mind, you are next in line to receive it. You are only invoiced for available inventory!
- TIP: SCREENSHOT WHAT YOU BUY! I learned that the hard way, lol! I was getting invoiced and had totally forgotten what in the world I bought.
- Exchanges excepted (say if you order the wrong size, but they provide a very accurate sizing chart and only one item out of all the stuff I purchased was too small)
- There are different ways to wear the styles. Now remember, I just started accumulating clothes so I only took a few photos so far (I hate taking photos of myself. ANyone else like that)
This is a skirt called the Azure. I pulled it up and turned it into a tunic/dress and wore it with some solid leggings:
This is the Irma shirt.
I tied the sleeves in the front and turned it strapless:
Since I have ordered just about every solid color legging there is and been sporting them around town all week, I ordered my first patterned pair and they arrived yesterday. Not daring enough to head out of the house with these on, yet….
So, if this intrigues you in any way, join the group! There is NO ZIP ZERO NADA pressure to buy whatsoever. I’ll be there and we can interact!
Ok, -that’s that! Back to my regularly scheduled CRAFTY posts…. LOL
You are so funny, Laurel! I also “attended” Jennifer’s party and bought a few things-two pair of solid leggings (thinking my daughter may want one, or can at least try them on and tell me if she wants a different color) and a top. I also am not a “leggings girl”. I do love how these fit and feel so we’ll see if I am converted – but not until the weather cools off! I struggle with what top to wear with them (not anymore since LLR has several options for tops), and what shoes. You were brave to also order dresses and skirts – I am very critical about what I think looks good on me so I am nervous about buying those without trying them on, plus I don’t wear dresses very often. Makes me wish that I had gone to the pop-up boutique I was invited to a few months ago so I could try things on!. Anyway – I’m off to join your group. Excited to see what will be offered!
YAY! I have bought lots of LLR shirts but I have also found long shirts at Target! LONG being the key word! I got to cover up all my jiggly junk! LOL
Do they ship to Canada?
I was told she could ship via UPS. Definitely something worth talking about in the pop up with the consultant!
I’m Def attending your party. I heard about these clothes on Jennifer McGuire’s blog but I was too late. Can’t wait to check this out and buy some new stuff.
Oh my! Ummm, first of all you are beautiful! Now, a question, what is the price range? And thirdly, would it be possible to turn the volume down on that last pair of leggings??
BAHAHAHA??!!!!
Just kidding…actually I love them and my daughter would love them more!
