You may be familiar with the Jane Davenport line found at Spellbinders! At first I thought it was all about mixed media and scrapbooking. But its not! I created this fun and sparkly mermaid card using some goodies from the Jane Davenport and Fun Stampers Journey line, all from Spellbinders! New mediums were introduced to me and can I just say, woah! In a good way!
To create the water, I used the Modeling Paste tinted with three colors of the FSJ (Fun Stampers Journey) Liquid Color. Once dry, I sprayed the top of the card case with two colors of the FSJ Color Splash. All of these products are brand new to me and when I tried them out, I immediately ordered more of the Liquid Color and Color Splash! Oh, let’s talk about those drops of sparkle! That’s from another new to me product, silks! They look like little jars of nail polish! The one I’m using today is Sparkle Silk! So the sparkle is so concentrated and lovely. Video on these soon!
The texture and shine from the mediums used, oh my! The mermaid die cut/stamp set can also be used as a swatch, but I cut off the top part of the mermaid and poof, a tale in the water was born!!!! The water scene… I don’t like the beach because of the critters that are beneath, but man oh man I might just jump into this water! The sentiment is a sneak from an upcoming set. More on that soon!!!! Get ready………
