My second card of the day… Woah…. That is huge for me. But this card seriously took 10 minutes to create once I got the darn floss threaded… What a pain that was!!! The Crazy 4 challenges blog has a paper piercing challenge this week. I saw a fabulous floss technique here that inspired me to give making a card with DMC Floss a try… I kept the card VERY clean and simple.. I started off with a circle shape, but the stitching wasn’t coming together, so back to the trusty square. I created an A2 card from the My Time Made Easy DIGI paper. I used a deeper shade green for the floss to make it pop (hope that didn’t backfire on me)…. Took a sentiment from, yes, you guess it… WPlus9 Funky Foliage and curved it to create that arch. Adhered it to the card with foam square and done…..
I spent an hour at Lowes trying to find bulbs for the light box. Tiffany (sidebar) has been so awesome. She has been a wealth of knowledge for me. The bulbs she uses are like top secret (Sylvania Daylight bulbs) because this nice man named Eric spent an hour looking for those bulbs or something similar to. I ended up getting FLORESCENT daylight bulbs. So what do you think of the photo? That is taken straight from my camera with no photo editing other than cropping. Good enough?
Looks fabulous, girlie!!! 🙂
You did a great job! I love the different colors in the same block!
I LOVE this card. It’s awesome. I can never thread the embroidery floss either. I even bought a floss threader at Joann’s and it just broke. Your photos are looking great with the light box too!
