Happy Friday. Today is a big day for my husband. As I type, he is at the car dealership contemplating getting rid of his 1999 TRUCK for a 4 door sedan. He has only had trucks since he could drive so this is a huge step. I am thinking of driving up there with a paper bag in case he is hyperventilating!
The card I made today was inspired by the Color Cue Challenge and by a card I saw by Lisa Johnson (sidebar)….. I LOVE the color palette! Seriously a perfect combination…. I used my Tim Holtz distress inks to make a pretty background using the turquoise and brown. I added some water drops to create a really great look. I love the water ink distressing technique. So cool and soooo easy…. I was going to attempt to color the bike but then decided I really wanted that background to show, so I decided against it. It has nothing do to with the fact that I really can’t color, LOL. In addition to the Polka Dot Basics and Everyday Button Bits stamp sets, I used a stamp from my new favorite stamp company, Hero Arts, to make the text background! It’s the friend definition background cling stamp. I used one of my Fiskars scissors to make the border. But bad news peeps. I LOST my edge distresser. I hope it turns up somewhere! I love distressing edges so I was in a panic. But then I remembered. I can just use one of my steak knives! Voila. Distressed edges…

Ok, off to the car dealership to make sure my husband is still breathing! Happy Friday!!!
This is totally adorable! Love the doubled up buttons on the wheels, such a fun detail! 🙂
Super cute, I agree, love the background on the bike! Hope your hubby handle the move to a sedan well. ;o)
Thanks for playing along!
