I finally was able to participate in the Play Date Cafe Color Challenge. I have been following their challenge blog for quite some time and the colors from there recent challenge was perfect!! Yellow, Green and Pink… I wanted to use a set I haven’t used in a LONG time…. I decided to go with Lisa Johnson’s On My Couch/Additions sets…. I love all the couch and chair images, and all the little extras she put in her set. I started by dry embossing with one of my favorite new embossing folders by Sizzix.. I adhered my couch and chair with pop dots. I colored the images with Copics. I wanted to make it look like a couch my grandmother had. It was the kind that was made out of a material where you run your hand over it, it kind of changes the color and rub your hand over it again, and it changes back. Does anyone know what I am talking about. I added a little shot of pink by coloring the coffee mugs with my Copic marker. I hope you like the card…
Tonight, I went to the beach with my son and parents and had a wonderful time. I had forgotten how beautiful the beach is in the evenings. Lucas loved running around and playing in the sand. Have a great day!
