My Time To Create AND Taylored Expressions Challenges

By Laurel on August 8, 2009

WHAT was I thinking? Trying to create one card using two challenges. Lauren’s is a color challenge and Taylor’s  is a sketch challenge so I thought “no big deal..” – Whatever!!!! Don’t know if I will be combining any

challenges again any time soon! So, drum roll please…. Here are the challenges and my creation (click each picture to enlarge):

I decorated the card with brads. I heat embossed some polka dots with clear embossing powder and distressed the edges of some of the cut outs.. Soooo, what do you think? As usual, I am not too happy with my creation. I never am….  I can’t keep using the “I am a beginner” excuse much longer….. (the picture won’t load on main screen, but click on it! It is there!!!)

I think you did a great job Laurel! I tried to combine two challenges once and had way to much trouble so I never did it again…too difficult for me!

LOL…too funny. Good for you for doing it though….I wouldn’t even have the nerve to try. My friend Dee is on the Pile it On challenge team where them combine a TON of challenges. I can’t even fathom. Her’s an example. http://deespapertree.blogspot.com/2009/07/pile-it-on-water-color.html

Your blog is great! Found you through Sue.

    Laurel~

Thanks for letting me know you re-posted :] Your card is adorable!! I love the sweet little bird (can’t wait to use that one myself 🙂 and his polka dotted wing with the matching polka dot embossed circle layer! Tooo cute with the DP! I also like how you border punched the reverse scallop on the bottom! Great job with the challenge! Don’t forget our color challenge this Saturday!! Hope you can play along.
