Mother’s Day Card Set

By Laurel on May 12, 2017August 8, 2017

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there! I also know there are many who struggle with this holiday and I just wanted you to know I am am thinking of you all as well. I created a set of Mother’s Day cards to mail to all the mom figures in my life!

I did this very last minute, shame shame on me! Using The Ton’s Wildflower Banner stamp set and the Mini MISTI, I was able to make these in a jiff! I colored each floral banner with Copic Markers. Now I am not the best at Copics, like at all! So I just did so quick flicking with the markers with a couple of different colors in the same color family on each card.

I kept the card design fairly simple. Partly because I am a clean and simple gal and the other part – did I mention I made these last minute? LOL! I embellished each card with coordinating colors of the Nuvo Drops. Nuvo drops come in three different styles: Jewel, Glitter and Translucent. I used whatever style the color that matched the color I colored the flowers… Each flower center has some of the White Blizzard Glitter Drops. LOVE that. Let’s take a look at each card – same exact design just different colors.

See the glittery center in each flower? And a few drops scattered around the floral cluster?  You can also see the inked edges up close. I lightly blended some tea dye distress ink to make the card appear more aged. For some reason, in my mind it makes me think the card is more elegant! I do not know. I am crazy. It also coordinated with the card base color and the bit of color I added to the banner itself.

So there you have it. Some quick and easy Mother’s Day card for all you last minute wonders out there! :):) Have a fabulous weekend!!!!
