Good morning everyone! I made this card a while ago and thought it was time to share it with you all today! I am absolutely in love with the Mission Gold Watercolors. Remember me telling you about them here? Well. these are the only watercolors I use at the moment! The absolute best price I have found on these babies is HERE! I paired the watercolored with the Haute Books stamp set from The Ton Stamps. I’ve got a video to go along with this card. You can watch it here on my blog or over on my youtube channel in HD by clicking HERE!
Any time I do watercoloring, I always heat emboss my stamped images. I want the lines of the image to remain crisp and sharp and the heat embossing resists the watercolor. Instead of stamping with a crisp black ink, I decided I wanted a subtle gray – enter Smokey Gray. And since it’s a pigment ink, it stays wet longer so I sprinkled on some clear embossing powder and zapped it with my heat tool
I did add a clear brush of glitter over the flowers and water using the Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay pen. The sentiment is from the Haute Stacks stamp set. I heat embossed that too because I love the look of a bright white against the black base!!!! I stamped the sentiment with The Ton’s Hampton white pigment ink, sprinkled on some super fine white embossing powder (I think super fine is key with sentiments) and heat set!
That’s all I’ve got for today! I will be back tomorrow with another project for The Crafter’s Workshop! Hope to see you then!!!!!
Fantastic card!!
Love this card! But you need to work on your French! ? Haute is pronounced more like oat, not hot. lol ?
