Merry Christmas

I hope everyone is having a fabulous Christmas season! I have enjoyed decorating my Christmas Tree and the outside of my house this year. This year is the first year we put up lights on the outside and my son just loves it. He says our house looks like a Gingerbread House! I wanted to share with you some photos of our decorations but first wanted to show you what I whipped up for my son’s teachers. I made them some homemade fudge (my first year ever, so I hope it isn’t gross) and these, inspired by Nicki Estes…

Here is a picture of our Christmas Tree (click to enlarge)…. I just love all the vintage ornaments. I don’t like matchy, matchy… So all of the ornaments I have accumulated over the years really adds to the look of my tree.

This Santa is something my Grandmother (Situ) knitted a LONG time ago! My mom came across them last night and gave me a few for my tree. I treasure this. I cherish this. Just as I treasured and cherished her and my Grandfather (Gidu). They are deeply missed. I wish my husband and son could have known them. They were remarkable people.

And THIS ornament my mom finally gave to me. My mom bought this years ago because the little girl on the ornament reminded her of me. I had light colored, curly hair (believe it or not)…

And lastly, a quick snap of my house lit up at night. Now this may not look like much to you guys, but I never do lights on the outside of my house. Just the tree showing thru the window….
