Merry Christmas: Embossing two ways

Today is the day the Stamp of Approval Candy Cane Lane collection goes on sale to the public (those not on the wait list) – if there are still any left! I’ve got one more project to share with you. I wanted to make a very clean and simple card design that uses those cute little candy canes. I heat embossed the Peppermint Stick Background stamp and the bows from the Candy Cane Lane stamp set with the Brutus Monroe Gold embossing powder. After stamping and die cutting the Candy Canes from the Candy Cane Lane stamp set, I started to work on the embossed label frame and “Merry”, both which come from the Merry Labels die set. That’s where the second embossing comes in. We first have heat embossing (gold background) and now we have embossed lines onto the label, courtesy of the ie itself. No additional steps needed. It cuts out the shapes and embosses the lines. 🙂
