For my Lawnscaping Challenge post, please go here!
Howdy ho guys! It’s the first Monday of the month, which means it’s time for another Mama Elephant and me challenge! Last month’s watercoloring theme was a hit! Be sure to check out all the creations! This month’s challenge is all about paper piecing! I LOVE to paper piece! Initially I thought about paper piecing some critters or little people, but I wanted to go a different route and create a night scene, so I hope I pulled it off ok.
I LOVE THIS DIE! I LOVE IT!! It’s gorgeous, high quality, detailed and well. Just fab! Plus, part of my honeymoon was in NYC so this was a no brainer for me!!! I die cut it with a couple of different pieces of patterned paper and staggered them along the bottom of the card and popped the top panel up with some double sided tape. Before adhering them down, I created a “messy” night sky with my kuretake gansai watercolors.
As a finishing touch, I added this speech bubble from this stamp set and a strip of washi across the top! Be sure to head on over to the Mama Elephant and me challenge blog and check out the rest of the the AMAZING design team samples! When I saw their work, I was a tad bit jealous! It’s awesome…
