Mama Elephant and Me Challenge 2: Watercoloring and Birthdays

HOORAY INDEED! It’s time for another Mama Elephant and Me Challenge!!! This month’s theme is all about watercoloring and birthdays! Watercoloring is HOT HOT HOT right now, and who doesn’t need birthday cards so this is PERFECTO! I am using THIS STAMP SET by Mama. I love it. I love the large sentiments, the gorgeous font…. It’s fab! The little penguin is from THIS STAMP SET! He was watercolored as well as given a sparkly coat with some Wink of Stella goodness. The sentiment was heat embossed with this Liquid Platinum embossing powder, which seems to go with EVERYTHING I kid you not. (All the supplies are linked below to various sources). I used these watercolors to create the background, but you can use any watercolors you have in your stash!

To create the white border, I masked off the edges with some painters tape… Any kind of masking tape will work, or washi tape even….
