Have you seen the Pantone Attitude palette? You haven’t??!?? Here it is!
I love all these bold, bright colors! I was also drawn to that geometric type background in the top left photo! So I tried to recreate a toned down version using some liquid masking fluid and watercolors. I took a couple of photos as I was creating this, but first, here is a close up of the finished card… See all that sparkle? I spray a generous amount of shimmer spray over the entire panel and absolutely love staring at all that sparkle!! 🙂 (Tip: I use an old shoebox for these kinds of finishing sprays to contain all the mess)…
Using a silicone brush, I applied random lines of masking fluid all over a piece of watercolor cardstock. Totally random lines….. Going all sorts of directions.
Once the masking fluid was dry, I dropped watercolor into the different compartments and then heavily sprayed the entire card with water to move all the colors around for a nice blend (I didn’t want all the colors completely sections off). Once the entire panel was dry (took several hours since I applied so much water), I pushed away the masking fluid with my finger.
The Hero Arts Nesting die was screaming my name and used a sentiment from the Totally Random Sayings stamp set to finish off the card.
This card is for the current Pin-Sights Challenge over at the Ellen Hutson CLASSroom! You have an entire month to play along and the randomly selected winner will win a $50 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store! WOOT!
Very cool technique!!
Love this technique! TFS!
