Let’s party with this amazing alcohol inked background (video on how I made this background here) and be sure to check out this blog post where I share 5 backgrounds, details, still photos and the video on a few basic techniques using Alcohol inks. I am taking the Altenew Dynamic Die-Cutting class and was inspired by a technique I saw. The alcohol inked background is a show stopper and I thought perfect for a party card!
I lined the hinged dies up my card panel and ran it thru my die cutting machine. I carefully cut out between the lines so the letter would hang off the edge. Since the letters are hinged, they can flip or or lay flat! I also used the Basic Alpha set to finish off the sentiment.

Beautiful,this looks amazing.
so glad you thought of a way to use the letter dies sideways so the letters that go below a line can be hinged also – wonderful card with that pretty alcohol inked background – after seeing your video I bought the Jacquard inks – couldn’t resist after seeing you use them:-)
Absolutely stunning! :Love that background you created and the use of the hinged dies veritcally was great. Love it!
Fun card!!
Laurel what a clever design, I love the way you have the large letter dies of ‘Party’ attached to the edge of the alcohol ink panel and cut out of the same piece too. How did you do this may I ask? :O)
