Today is the last card I’m making before I start packing up my craft room! It’s our first military move so they do all of the work I’m told, BUT there are a few things I want to pack up in baggies myself before they put them in boxes…… Any posts between tomorrow and the end of the month were projects I pre made in preparation for design team deadlines and just cards to blog during the time I’ll be away so you all don’t forget about me. Most of you know, this is NOT a move I want to make so prayers appreciated. The fun begins on Monday and our flight is on Saturday. My mom is coming with me and my dad will fly up a week later. Leaving my parents IS what makes this move hard. If only they would just move up there with me… I like living in Laurel land. Everyone should! He!
Lots will be going on over on the blog next week! STAMP OF APPROVAL and CAS-ual Fridays…. Giveaways…. So be sure to check back!
I am playing along in the current Ellen Hutson Mix It Up Challenge! We are mixing it up with Essentials by Ellen and Neat and Tangled. I am using the Oh Frappe stamp set and paired it with the Big Bold Brew stamp set and die set from Neat and Tangled.
I stamped some stripes with the Thin Stripes background stamp from Impression Obsession and toned it down some with a white gelato. I adore the Diagonal Stitched Rectangle die from My Favorite things so I thought it was a perfect panel for my coffee scene.
Be sure to head over to the Ellen Hutson Mix it Up Challenge and play along!!!!
oh Laurel, you put tears in my eyes. I’m praying for a smooth move and all we be good on the other side of the plane ride. we will all be here waiting for your return,
Prayers for a smooth move.
Hoping your move goes well and you come to love your new home. Your online friends are here to “venti” with you whenever you need us! Great that your parents can come see you right away – hopefully that makes the transition a little easier <3
Love your card, Laurel! I also hope that your move goes smoothly, and that it isn’t as hard as you seem to think it will be. I know leaving your parents will be difficult, but I’m sure y’all will be able to keep in touch. I highly recommend Skype, if your parents can do that! It kept me sane while my mom was away overseas for a couple of weeks recently, to be able to Skype with her almost daily! 🙂 Sending positive vibes & happy thoughts your way! ~ Andrea
Laurel,
Moving is hard. I am praying all goes well for you and your family. Love this card!
Hi Laurel ~ This card is absolutely sweet! My heart really and truly goes out to you but I know you’ll make the best of this phase of your life. Just think of all the excursions you’ll be able to take your parents on when they visit. I wish you an easy move, smooth flight and strength. The NE US is beautiful and has so much to offer that I know you’ll appreciate. Breathe deeply and stock up on your favorite coffee. ~HUGS~
