Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!!!!! This week’s Lawnscaping challenge is sure to get you in the Valentines Day mood! Whether you celebrate it or not, who cares! Time for candy! Chocolate! Whatever floats your boat. When I was younger, I would celebrate it by dressing all in black! But you bet your bootie I ate chocolate! 🙂 Here’s what I created inspired by the photo!!!
I love that hexagon mask from Studio Calico. It is gorgeous! So I thought I’d try my hand at masking, a technique I don’t do often! I die cut the circle from this Spellbinders Nestabilities set and used the negative space to create the mask. I then dabbed some gorgeous Bubblegum Pink Hero Arts shadow ink over the top of the mask and look at the outcome! My goodness. So pretty!
Everything else is pretty self explanatory. I colored the images and banner strip with copics. A little bit of glossy accents on the cherries and the little hand drawn heart and all done!
I hope you will stop over at the Lawnscaping blog and check out what the rest of the design team created for this challenge! And also please welcome our guest designer for the month, Lalo!!!
A big thank you to the wonderful Simon Says Stamp for sponsoring our challenge this week! The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to the online store!!!
Now go and be inspired, and play along!!!!
