Lawnscaping Challenge: Use Your Favorite Things

By Laurel on September 2, 2013

It’s Lawnscaping Challenge time!!! We’ve got a fun one in store for you. And no, it’s not create something based on the song from The Sound of Music, lol!!!! We want you to use your favorite crafty things. Stamps? Inks? Masks? Stencils? Die Cutting? Whatever floats your boat! For me? It was simple. Lawn Fawn, Distress Inks, Die Cutting, Wink of Stella Glitter pens and  Copics…. 🙂 Let’s take a peek:

Using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Circle Die, I create this shaped card. I took the second largest circle die and nestled it over the die cut and was able to add distress inks just to the center of the shape. I LOVE Peacock Feathers distress ink. It is such an AWESOME color. Pair that with seedless preserves and yum yum yum.

Using the coordinating dies to THIS SET made making this card very easy!   I colored the imaes with Copics and if you look very closely at the trick or treat back, I dry embossed it with the Swiss Dots embossing folder by Cuttlebug.  I smooshed some black soot distress inks down on my craft sheet and mixed it with some water and flicked some onto the background for a finishing touch to the background… I LOVE the water flicking technique. I hope you don’t tire of seeing it.

I cut a slit in the back so some of the candy could be popping up outside the bag and then popped those adorable images up with some foam dimension and done….  I hope you like it….
