Hi there! Welcome to another Lawnscaping Challenge! This week’s challenge is all about inspiration! What inspires you? A fellow crafter you know? Maybe one you don’t know? Something you saw in a magazine? On Pinterest? Etsy? We are sponsored by the fabulous Lawn Fawn! They have offered up one free stamp set of the winner’s choice as a prize!
For this challenge, I was inspired by a project I saw on page 47 of Cool Tools edition of Paper Crafts magazine by Julia Stainton. Here is what I created:
And here is the project that inspired me:
I loved everything about this card. The layering, the large embellishment, the strips of patterned paper…. I had to give it a whirl! And I bought myself some of those cool fringe scissors a few weeks ago and have been wanting to try them out! I took some Kraft Paper and cut three different strips using the fringe scissors and distressed them using a few different distress ink colors. I took the gorgeous butterfly from Flutter By, colored it with Gelatos and added some stickles over the top.
I hope you will play along in our challenge! You can find inspiration anywhere! The important thing is when you do, give credit where credit due…. 🙂 Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!
