Hi everyone! Welcome to another Lawnscaping challenge! My post is late today, GASP! For a couple of reasons. One, I didn’t have much time to create a project for this challenge because sweet little Lily has kept me busy over the weekend and prior to that, my precious Grandmother passed away. On Friday, we drove to Vidalia (3 1/2 trip) and in the middle of nowhere, some metal popped up off the road and blew my tire! Thank GOD my Dad was following me and managed to get the donut put on. We got to the funeral with 1 minute to spare…. I guess that situation distracted me from the sadness of it all, but boy, what a PAIN IN THE BUTT!!!! My second reason is I don’t really like my card and wanted to edit it a bit, but again, ran out of time… So, here it is (be kind)….
I’m happy with everything about the card BUT the stickles balloon! I wish I hadn’t added them. So I am going to fix that balloon and repost the card here on the blog this week, but for now…. I hope you can find something about this card you like. I wanted to make a 3d balloon with the awesome stamp…
I coated it with a HEAVY coat of glossy accents after coloring it with Inktense pencils… We’ll just ignore the little balloon for now! The background was created with Picket Fence Distress Paint. And some mister hueys mist.
We are sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp! They are giving the winner a $25 gift certificate to their online store! YAHOO!!!!
Supplies:
I am so sorry for your loss, Laurel…and on top of that, you had to deal with a very long drive and a problem with your tire, oh my!
Well, I think your card turned out great! I love that you kept a CAS design, and how you colored your hot air balloons! Honestly, no one would ever know you were pressed for time…I love it!!!
Hugs and blessings to you 🙂
I am sorry for your loss. I lost my grandfather in December and know how hard it is to feel normal for a while after. It does get better though. Still hard but better. I think your card is beautiful. I can’t get enough of clouds right now and I love how soft and feminine yours are. The colors of the balloon are also great! Makes me want to take a balloon ride.
Sorry for that extra difficult weekend… big hug for you all!
Love your card! It’s so funny that you say we have to ignore the little balloon LOL
Love the CAS feeling of the card! Love your coloring also!!!
the coat of glossy accents looks really really good! i feel like i can touch it from my screen!
