Hello! Welcome to another Lawnscaping Challenge. The last of 2013 actually. Before I even get started, a HUGE SHOUT OUT TO MY BOY, He turns 8 today! Oh Lucas. Why are you growing up so fast! Stop it. Right now….
Ok, sorry. Back to the challenge. Today’s challenge is a color scheme challenge and since it is winter in most parts of the world, we chose an arctic color scheme to work with. Now I am not going to lie. I struggled with this one. I usually like bright colors. But I managed to work thru it and create something I like:
I found out the hard way that I am in need of birthday cards, so forgive me in advance, but you will be seeing lots of birthday cards in the near future here…. Don’t like to be without… I love the little dog, A friend of mine has one named Sophie so I think Lucas will get a kick out of this card….. I used the pumpkin pie from Lawn Fawn’s Thanksgiving set and turned it into a birthday slice. The images are colored with Spectrum Nor Markers… Have you heard of them? Video on them very soon…. I will have a video up on how I made this background later in the week.
I am in love with the background. Look closely and you can make out some star shapes… That was created by using the star background and water… The panel was throughly coated with distress inks……..
We are sponsored by the fabulous peeps over at Lawn Fawn this week!
I hope that you will play along with us this week. I truly love looking at all the submissions.
how CUTE!
Oh! So adorable! I would say you definitely rocked the colors!!! That pup and ‘cake’ is adorable!!! And that background…SO COOL! Can’t wait to see the video later this week!!
