Hi there and happy Monday! This is the last week of school for my son!! WAH!!!!!! I am so happy that he is off for the summer and we get to spend more time together, but sad because he is growing up so fast!!!!! Sigh…..
Today is Lawnscaping Challenge day and this challenge is all cute and cuddly because it’s all about critters! Lawn Fawn has a ton of critters to choose from and the design team has done some amazing things and created awesome scenes with the critters. I opted to keep my project simple and use just one critter! GASP! I know!!!!! I envisioned a critter popping up out of the mixer from the Baked with Love set when I first sat down to work on this challenge… So I had to make that happen!
I diecut the Scalloped Circle Stackables die and created a card base from that. See the blue on the background? That was created using the Snow Cone colored Gelatos…. Just scribbled on and blended lightly with a damp wet wipe. The card panel was created with the Circle Stackables die. Now to work on the images themselves… As I mentioned before, I used the mixer from the Baked with Love stamp set as well as the frosting bag thing (also those hearts in the background? From the same set heat embossed). The bunny rabbit popping out of the bowl is from Snow Days! I didn’t get to use that set a lot over the winter and the bunny is so dadgum cute! And he fit! HE HE! I just cut a tiny slit and fed him thru the bowl. The sentiment is from an oldie, but as must have… Sophie’s Sentiments.
All of the images were colored with my Zig Clean Real Brush Markers. They are available in open stock over at Ellen Hutson, which is what I preferred. I wanted to choose colors I liked and not colors that were pre packaged for me. I’m still learning to use these little guys. For me, they take some getting used to.. But they worth it for me to continue to practice with them. Â They have an actual brush tip so that’s very unique it itself…. And you can go in over water with these brushes, which you can’t do with other markers like distress markers because of the felt tip…
I hope you will head on over to the Lawnscaping blog and check out the rest of the designer’s creations and PLAY ALONG! The amazing Ellen Hutson is sponsoring this challenge and the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to their store…..
