Today is Monday! I hope you all had a good weekend! We spent the majority of it playing out in the yard, planting flowers and making my son a garden! I, Laurel Beard, went to a hardware store and got wood cut so my husband could make a little planter box for him! We’ve got tomatos, peppers, eggplant, squash and cucumbers going in there…. Check back with me in a few weeks and see how many made it, lol!!!
OK! Today’s challenge is all about watercoloring!!!! If you follow me, you know I LOVE to watercolor. I have a ton of watercoloring options because I just can’t control myself when it comes to watercolors… But I have two all time favorite watercoloring mediums.. Gelatos and distress inks. Today’s card features watercoloring with Distress Inks with a twist… Acrylic Block Watercoloring… And I’ve got a video too! I used mostly Distress Ink MINI’s for this card, which is awesome because I bought the entire set when they first was released so I got colors I didn’t have in the full set. But what I just discovered, I missed the memo somewhere, is you can buy the MINI’s SEPARATELY now for just $3 a pad! No more buying in sets of four if that isn’t your cup of tea! That’s pretty awesome I think….
Rather than list step by step how I made this card, I thought I’d share the video instead! You can watch it here or even better, over on my youtube channel in HD! And if you aren’t a follower, I’d love to see you subscribe. My goal is to get to 10K by the end of the year… A lofty goal but hey, you gotta set goals if you want to reach them, you know?
OH! And I’ve got the MISTI Giveaway going on right now. You know, that amazing stamping tool everyone can’t stop raving about??? Well, the amazingIliana, the creator of the MISTI, is letting little ‘ole me give a BUNDLE away. Check out all the details HERE!
