Lawnscaping Challenge #15: DISTRESSING sponsored by SIMON SAYS STAMP

By Laurel on August 1, 2011

I love Mondays… I know, I really did say that right!?!? Most people hate Mondays. The only reason why I love this particular Monday is because that means it’s time for another Lawnscaping Challenge! This challenge is super fun. I love distressing. Edge, ink… Whatever…. Just love it. Before I share my card (and video) with you, I wanted to welcome the newest design team member! Vera, I am so glad that you have joined the team! You just rock! It’s that plain and simple!!!!  I challenged myself to make a one layer card for this challenge…. At first, it proved very difficult.

But then I decided I would try a new technique using Distress Inks and ended up having a blast making this. I used Fantastix and created this artsy, tie dye if you will… I absolutely LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I made a video illustrating how I made this card. You can check it out here or subscribe to my youtube channel and watch it on HD.

I was also inspired by Lily Pads Blog! They have lots of fun projects using distress inks – fabulous inspiration over there so be sure to check them out. GREAT IDEAS.

Be sure to head on over the Lawnscaping blog and check out the deets on the challenge and see the other FABULOUS projects the Design Team made for you!!!!! You’ve got 10 days to play along!!! Can’t wait to see what you create!!!!
