Hello everyone! Can you believe it! It’s Lawnscaping Challenges 100th Challenge! I can’t hardly believe it myself. It seems like just yesterday I reached out to Lynnette about the idea and now here we are! I am totally stoked that we have reached out 100th challenge and still going strong! WOOT WOOT!
Not only is it a celebration of Lawnscaping, but today my little girl, our little miracle baby, is 2! TWO YEARS OLD! She joins her 9 year old amazing big brother and we are the happiest and luckiest parents alive to have these bundles of joy.. You may remember all our heartache and struggles trying to have Lily. But we have her! She arrived 6 weeks early but looking at her, you would never know she was a premie! She keeps me on my toes always. She is into everything! EVERYTHING! I can only type my blog posts when she is sleeping.. Otherwise, she would be all up on my keyboard, lol! But I would not trade it for the world.
The challenge theme is Birthday Celebreation! So I’ve created a colorful card using some Lawn Fawn oldies and distress inks. I masked off the left and right of the card panel and stamped the music notes from Pa Ra Pa Pa Pum and then heat set it with white embossing powder! Then I grabbed my distress mini’s and applied them direct to the cardstock. Having the mini’s really made this easy. If you don’t have the mini’s, you can just grab an ink blending tool and blend the ink on…
I love all the scripty sentiments in Sophie’s Sentiment’s. I stamped the Happy Birthday stamp and the heart with in white ink, heat set with that same white embossing powder and popped it up to the card base with some foam dimension. (THIS is the best price I have found for this giant roll of foam tape, like as big as your face.. It’s awesome).
I hope you will head on over to the Lawnscaping blog and check out the party! Each design team member invited a party peep to celebrate with us so there is a ton of projects over there that are sure to inspire you. I have TWO party guests over there that will absolutely knock your socks off! Pinky swear!

Your card is fabulous, Laurel, but it’s the joy, pride and LOVE you have for you children that has added a whole bunch more wattage to the smile I’m wearing! I hope your little miracle had the most incredible, special, most amazing Happy 2 Years Old Birthday celebration EVER! Your post makes my heart sing!
Hugs~c
Laurel, your card is beautiful. I read your struggles with infertility post and you give me hope. I’m 35years old, married with the best man, my friend, my Love and we’ve try to have child, I was pregnated but it was an ectopic and have to take off a fallopian tube… now I have 50% only and the artificial insemination is a hard road. I pray and wait for our child. Thanks for sharing your history and give me hope.
Congrats on 100!!!!!! That’s awesome!
Love your fun card and happy belated to your baby girl!
100!! what a milestone!! and you card is so FUN! what a fun background – the music notes were an awesome idea!! so cool!
Big congrats on 100 posts! Wow, what a huge milestone! Lawnscaping was the very first challenge I ever played in, and I think your comment on my entry was the very first blog comment I ever had. 🙂 Your card is awesome! All of the rows of notes are fantastic, and that is a great tip about inking the minis directly on the paper. Very cool!! Congrats again.
Happy birthday to your daughter, too! She’s a cutie. 🙂
beautiful card!! 🙂
