Note: This is not MY idea. I found the recipe for the sugar scrub online and will link to the source in my post below:
Well, crapola! I had forgotten my daughter only went to school on more this week before breaking for the Christmas holiday. I had only one hour to run home and make a few gifts if I was going to give it to them in time for the break. Sugar scrubs to the rescue…..
I rushed home and made some peppermint scrubs. Luckily, I made some last year (only difference was they were green as I added a drop of green food coloring) and remembered what to do! AND, thankfully I had the ingredients in my pantry.
I dressed it up with some twine and a candy cane!
The downloadable labels on the top are courtesy of Mom4Real and can be found HERE and to see how I made the scrubs (along with a how to video, visit the Mom4real blog post where I found the idea by clicking HERE).
I just printed the labels onto some regular copy paper and glued it down with some multi matte medium. Those toppings are not going anywhere.
That is a super strong glue. And to give you an idea of the “twine debacle” I had to deal with, allow me to show you…
Thanks Lily! 🙂
To summarize:
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 1/4 cup of melted coconut oil (I use organic and it can be found in any grocery store)
- Mix until you get consistency you want. If you want thicker, add more sugar.buy ventolin online ventolin no prescription
If you want thinner, add more coconut oil.
- Add 20 drops of your favorite scent. I used Peppermint Essential Oil. (I got mine here)
- Optional: add a drop of green food coloring and mix (I would have done it this year but I didn’t have any)….
This ratio will fill up (3) 1/2 pint wide mouth mason jars (I got mine here)
Have an awesome day!!!! 🙂
great idea!!
