Hi everyone! I will confess, I always, EVERY SINGLE TIME, struggle with shaker cards! That doesn’t keep me from trying to make them, but I always take forever to make them. The sequins fall out. The acetate gets dirty from my fingerprints… Did I mention the sequins fall out? Even though I have adhesive touching? HAHAH! I am just cursed… This time was no different…. I don’t know what it is. They truly aren’t that hard to make, lol! But like I said, I keep on making them. I just know it will alwyas take me 5 times as long as it would take most of you to make! LOL! Oh the sacrifices for a shaker….
I decided to make this cute moose shaker card for my son! The moose is from this stamp set and the polaroid is from this die set.… ALL the supplies will be linked at the end of this post to multiple shopping sources.
I decided to give the moose a little sweater and hat by hand drawing them on with a .03 Copic Multi Liner. It’s not perfect, but I don’t think my son will notice! 🙂 There is a reason why I don’t draw and stamp, he he! The images were colored with Copics… And do you see that subtle stamped background on the card base? LOVE THIS background stamp set! It’s also 6×6 so it covers the entire standard size card base! I have loads of their background stamps!
As a finishing touch, I sprayed the background with a sparkle spray and loaded up the shaker with some Pretty Pink Posh products (linked below)… The sentiment was heat set with Liquid Platinum embossing powder. And 4.5 hours later, done! Kidding, it didn’t take that long, but it felt like it! LOL!
Thanks for stopping by today! 🙂
