How about that spiffy title I came up with? I challenge you to say “inlaid layered stencil die cutting” 5 times fast! What a mouth ful! But that is basically what I have done here in this card today! Using the Embroidered Heart stencil as the focal point of my card, I sponged on some distress inks and spritzed them with a shimmer spray to add that shine but also give it a teeny tiny bit of a watercolored looks……. Next, I die cut the middle using this awesome stitched heart die (and die cut it many times with regular white card stock as well). PS. All the supplies I used are linked at the end of this post.
I layered all those dies together and popped them right thru the heart into the inside of the card.. So when the recipient opens the card, they have this dimensional patterned heart…. But when it’s closed:
See? It pops up! HE HE! I love the Amazing Women stamp set by Ellen Hutson! My friend Julie Ebersole is the mastermind behind the Essentials by Ellen line and everything she does is just, well…. AWESOME SAUCE! Love her to pieces…. Yes I do. She is a real, classy, talented person and she would probably deck me if she sees that I am gushing over her, so I shall stop! One more photo before the video!
Onward and upward! Time for the video! You can watch it right here OR OR OR… Over on my youtube channel in HD!!!!
