Phew. This week’s JUGS Challenge was to incorporate stitching into a project! First of all, I can NOT sew. I MIGHT be able to sew on a button, but that is about it! I could have done faux stitching, but I really wanted to try to do something I knew would be difficult. And it was. Dusting off a sewing box with needle and thread (which fell on my head as I was trying to get it down) should have been a sign for me to NOT to it, but I carried on.
I love the card itself, but do NOT like the stitching I did.
I needed to do a consecutive stitch and I just couldn’t figure it out and didn’t have the time to “google” a tutorial. The colors, the buttons – that is just me!
My style. Stitching? Not so much!!! Thanks to Taylored Expressions for inspiration for the sketch!
Well….I think you did a great job!! The balloon buttons are so cute, and the stitched strings are a great touch! I also love that rainbow-ish background paper! Great job with TES97 and the JUGS challenge!

Oh Laurel you poor thing! Hope your head’s OK after being attacked by the sewing box LOL!
Congrats on pushing yourself to do something difficult – it’s totally paid off because those balloon strings look great!
