Finally, I am down to the last card I made when I challenged myself to make 3 cards in under 30 minutes with only the stuff on my table (in an effort to clean up before scooting out of town). I wanted to participate in the OTWC Challenge because I LOVE the colors they chose this week. What better set to use than one from the owner of OTWC herself stamp line, Everything’s Owlright.
I heat embossed the Hero Arts Graph Background with clear embossing powder. I then inked up Hero Arts Friends Definition in a few different colors of distress inks and finally painted the owl with a distress ink/perfect pearl mixture.
Don’t forget. One more day left to play along in Lawnscaping Challenge! Theme is snow! Up for grabs is winners choice of any Lawn Fawn stamp! We’ve had the quite the turn out and there is some amazing inspiration to be found so be sure to check it out even if you don’t play along!
I have always loved this color combination, and you did a great job on your card. TYFS.
This is so adorably sweet! I love that little owl. I think the challenge you gave yourself is so cool and the fact that you were able to combine that with ANOTHER challenge just proves what a truly talented artist you are.
And by the way, you SO would have been on my stylish blogger award list if Lynette hadn’t beat me to it! ;o)
Super cute, Laurel! I have a slight weakness for owls, so this one made me smile this morning. Thanks so much for sharing!
LOVE IT!…and I’m sure Kim will like that you used her set too! 😉 Thanks for playing along at OTWC.
