Happy Thursday everyone! Today, we announced the winners for the first Lawnscaping Challenge! I was OVER THE MOON with the turn out! Can’t wait to see how it goes for the second challenge on Monday. Thank you for all of your support and for helping spread the word.
I wanted to participate in the Wee Memories Challenge this week. TWINE!! Who doesn’t love twine? I love looking thru all the submissions because I get such inspiration from all the designs. I am always at a loss with what to do with twine, but looking thru the submissions, I see there is so much you can do…. Kind of embarrassed even posting this to their challenge if you want to know the truth! If you get a minute, take a look here or check out their Flickr gallery. Here is what I came up with:
I started by created the background with my scor-pal and Tim Holtz Distress inks. I absolutely love the weathered wood look! Thank you Gina K! I will definitely be using that technique often!!!! I then ink distressed my Spellbinders Nestabilities Label and stamped the images onto the label. I did a little bit of paper piecing and copic coloring and voila. For the twine, I decided to tie a bow on the tire swing… Oh, I got my order of washi tape in but I am still a newbie when it comes to figuring out how to use it, so for now I just taped a strip along the bottom.
Thanks for stopping by! I think I’ll give my blog candy giveaway a couple more days so be sure to play along if you haven’t already!
Stamps: Lawn Fawn (Critters in the Burbs, My Silly Valentine, Sophies Sentiments), Hero Arts Happy Hello (Thanks Britta)
