Hello there! I redesigned the blog last night. What do you think? Do you like it? The project pictures are bigger and the sidebar is less cluttered. What do you think?
Today’ I’ve got this fun and EASY card for you! The Hello Sunshine is from Freckled Fawn! I inked it up with distress paints, applied a heavy coating of Wink of Stella in clear and absolutely love the look it left behind. See that sunshine embossed background? This embossing folder is a must have!
Pretty easy and fun!!! Thanks for popping by today! I’ll be back tomorrow with a new Lawnscaping Challenge post!

Love the new design Laurel!! Great card!!
Such a great new blog design!! And the card is cool!! Love that background and the colors are so warm and summery!
You did a great job! I love your new design 🙂
like the new look – lots of room for photos and good use of white space.
I like the new blog design. I don’t understand how you got white rays on yellow paper with an embossing folder.
Hi Sally! To get the white rays, I simply rubbed some ink directly onto the embossing folder and then ran it thru my embossing machine! 🙂
Thanks for your reply. You used yellow paper and put white ink on the raised portions of the folder, or you used white paper, and somehow got yellow on the recessed areas? I don’t have good luck putting color on embossing folders.
Sally
Hi Sally! Just the opposite. I used white paper and tim holtz distress ink on the embossing folder and ran it thru my machine. To be honest, I can’t remember if I did the raise portion or the recessed portion, BUT EITHER looks fantastic to be honest!
The new bigger project pictures are really nice but for some reason your header picture, Papercrafts by Laurel, is really small on my screen and it is hard to read. Your card is really cheerful and love the combination of the wood veneer and embossing with texture folders. I have this one and love inking it up and embossing with it.
Yea, I noticed that too Ruby! Unfortunately, that is part of the design. A smaller header. I wish that part were bigger and my picture was smaller! LOL! Thanks so much for the input! 🙂 I haven’t had much luck embossing with the wood veneers! I wish I did because of love the impression it leaves! 🙂
Wonderful post! We will bee linking to this particularly great posxt on our website.
Keeep up thee good writing.
