This card took a LONG time to make, and it doesn’t look like it would, does it?!? That’s because I tried to incorporate a lot of products i just received from my Simon Says Stamp and Two Peas in a Bucket orders……
I started by heat embossing the stars background (Lawn Fawn Teeny Tiny Backdrops) and then applied one of my new favorite products, Faber Castell Gelatos in blue! There are so many fun things you can do with these gelatos… I can’t wait to experiment more with them! I then took my grass punch and painted it with Jenni Bowlin’s Paint Dabber (Stick Candy). I stamped the tree image (Critters in the Forest) three times and colored each layer with a different application (Copics, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Jenni Bowlin Paint Dabber). The cloud (Lawn Fawn Partly Cloudy) was painted with two Paint Dabbers (Stick Candy, Soap Powder) and outlined with a DMC Big Brush Pen. The cute little bird (Lawn Fawn Fly Free) was colored with Gelatos and Big Brush Pens. I added a little Liquid Pearl to the sun smiley face. So you see, a lot of love went into this card, lol! I tried to be a little different on this one, a little artsy (hence the painted cloud)… Hey, I know it is a little touch but baby steps for me people. Baby Steps!!
Thanks to the Color Q Challenge for the color inspiration this week! And thanks to you all for stopping by and visiting with me! Have a great weekend!!!!
