Who doesn’t love Harry Potter. I admit it, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. I got all the books the day they released and read them non stop until I was finished. I remember reading the last one, the 900 page book in two days. I stayed up till like 4AM to finish it. And those that know me KNOW I go to bed early! I made this card for my son, who is a huge Harry Potter fan ever since I introduced him to Lego Harry Potter for the XBox, He got the wand, the glasses and the broom for Christmas…. When I saw this image over at Karber, I knew I had to have it. Now I am still in the very beginning phases of my online Copic Class by Suzanne Dean, so this was an image I probably had no business attempting to color, but I just couldn’t wait. I wanted to give it to my son this morning…. The sentiment was made with Lawn Fawn’s Jesses ABC’s and I used LOTS of Tim Holtz distress inks on this baby! Speaking of distress inks, fellow Lawnscaping DT member Britta is doing a fabulous video series on distress inks so be sure to check her out!
I am playing along in Tiffany’s Sketchy Sunday #8 challenge! Loved her layout. Just changed the rectangles to circles. I’m also playing along in the Simon Says Stamp Coffee and Cream Challenge and the Stamping with Markers Moxie Fab Challenge. Those are all super fun challenge and I encourage you to check them out and play along!
Here are a few photos of my son after I gave him his card! He had to grab his pal Mickey of course!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Our sons would get along fabulously!! Both love our (their) craftiness ;). Have a great day!
Your card is adorable, and so is your son! What a cutie.
I’ve never read Harry Potter, can you believe that? With as much as I read, it’s a shock. All I can say is that I was living in Germany at the time, and while I heard about it, it wasn’t as big of a thing there as it was here. One of these days I’ll have to. I’ve read tons about J.K. Rowling personally — her success story inspires me as a fellow writer — but I’ve never read her books, as ironic as that seems.
Btw, stop by my blog today if you have time. :o) You’ll see why when you get there.
I’ve not read a single one of the books, please don’t cut me off as your friend for that revelation 😉 This image is adorable, and love seeing your coloring.
Hey Laurel! Thanks for entering the Stamping with Markers challenge in the Moxie Fab World! I’m so glad you joined in on all the fun! 🙂
