Harry Potter Card Blog Hop plus Giveaway

Harry Potter block party!  I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan! HUGE! Loved the movies. Loved the books. Love the bobble heads (giveaway at the end of this post – hint)……  So today, I came together with 3 other Harry Potter Fans, #craftypotterheads as we like to call ourselves, for a fun blog hop featuring – you got it – HARRY POTTER! I’ve got a Harry Potter block party going on today! I used every Harry Potter character I had, lol! I left out poor Hedwig though. I ran out of room! Say hi to Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Professor Dumbledore and Hagrid! Oh, and the sorting hat.

The background?  It’s the Marauder’s Map, he he he he!!! You get it????  I’ve got footprints going in all directions and some I stamped with Versamark and they totally disappeared (too light) but that goes along with the purpose of the Marauder’s Map, doesn’t it……. I created the background by using distress inks on textured cardstock (exact colors in supply list). I added a few water droplets but didn’t like the look so went back over it with distress ink and I think it made the paper look aged even more! 🙂 Yippee for happy mistakes.

There is lots of sparkle on this card as I coated their robes with a clear overlay pen, but I’ll be doggone if I can get that to show up on camera! I didn’t have dies for these images so I pulled out the Brother Scan N Cut (I got my old one replaced because it was defective) to cut these images out.
