Harry Potter and Hedwig, in my mind anyways

By Laurel on November 22, 2014

Ok….. So when Lawn Fawn released the Critters in the Arctic set, I knew I HAD to have it. Why? Because of the owl. It reminded me so much of Hedwig from the Harry Potter series, and you all know how much I LOVE the Harry Potter series…. 🙂 ALL of the supplies used are listed at the end of this post, and there’s a lot of them so be sure to check it out. I’ll have links to multiple sources.

The Harry Potter stamp set is AWESOME, but is no longer available. The only link I could find to any Harry Potter images she offers now is HERE. I’ve paired Lawn Fawn stamps up with some awesome products from Winnie and Walter! They work beautifully together!!! See the dimensional circles? Those were made with this Winnie and Walter Stencil! It’s called Big Bang Circle, but I’ll be doggone it looks just like snow flakes! Especially when you use it with some white embossing paste! Oh yea, come to mama.

And how about that glittery Christmas word? Yup, another Winnie and Walter favorite of mine! Yes, it’s a die! They have dies now. This is from the Big, Bold and Merry Cutaways line. Now, you know Harry Potter peeps say Happy Christmas!!! So of course, I had to make sure it said that on this card! I took the “happy” from the Big, Bold and Merry stamp set. That set is FULL of custom sentiments you can mix and match! It’s endless with the phrases you can come up with. Harry was colored with Copic markers and the little envelope he is holding! That’s a parcel Hedwig is all set to deliver, lol! It came from this Lawn Fawn set! So lots of mix and matching here, which I rarely do. I am just not creative like that. But I knew the owl, harry, an envelope, glitter, snow… It just all had to come together on one card!

Laurel, This is so cute, and I was going to say that you could purchase images from the SIlhouette store to use, but I just checked and they don’t have the Harry Potter images there any longer either.

I’m so glad that I’ve already purchased them, and I’m going to try to cut one of them to use as a stamping image since I’ve got the materials to play with.
