Happy 4th of July (a bit early)

By Laurel on June 28, 2009

I really wanted to find out what all the fuss was about embossing. From what I understand, there are two kinds of embossing. A texturized one where you can emboss shapes/texture onto your card, and one that adds shine to your card! So, I decided to try out the one that adds shine to the card. I was in a 4th of July mood, as you can tell. Red/White/Blue baby!!! I embossed the white sprinkles! I distressed the edges with the pure poppy ink, but not good enough because you can barely tell on this picture! But it is there, I swear!

DP is from Hobby Lobby.

This next card I decided to emboss the cupcake and the candles and add glitter to the cake part of the cupcake!! Glitter is a freaking mess, let me just tell you! 🙂 This can be a 4th of July card or a birthday card…. Or whatever…. I used this card as my submission to the CAS Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.

Yep, glitter is a mess but what a fun mess it is!! Your cards turned out very nice! Isn’t embossing fun?
