Halloween card using Faber Castell, Tim Holtz and Lawn Fawn

By Laurel on October 26, 2011

I had so much fun making this card today, I am not going to lie. And this new found love of purple? I just can’t escape it!!!!! I used Faber Castell products on this card…. Big Brush Pens and the Textural Accents Sampler I picked up.. I tried out the Gesso. I think I am going to like it once I get the hang of it! I’m going to get a bigger tub of it so I won’t use it so sparingly when applying it like I did hear on the moon! There is a lot of texture on that moon. I just didn’t photograph it all that well!

All the ink on here was from the big brush pens. Just apply it directly onto the stamp and voila! The background was made with distress inks and water! I added some glossy accents to the ghost and the windows for a finishing touch.

I’m entering this into the current Simon Says Challenge, Anything Goes. And of course, all items can be picked up from the Simon Says store!

Super Duper big fat puffy {heart} the glossy ghost! And I love the detail of the fence curving behind the house as if on a hill. Funny, I made a card similar last night, house, big moon, purple background with the swirly background stamp. I’m going to photograph it tonight. No ghosts on mine though.

It sounds funny to make! I’ve never tryied gesso… The whole card is great but I specially love the glossy ghost, it seems like he’s really popping out the house, so cute!
