I just jumped right to it, didn’t I????? No leading up to the fun announcement. Just BAM! Here it is! Well!!! HERE IT IS! I am thrilled to tell you all that I have joined the CAS-ual Friday Stamps design team! I’m a Girl Friday! 🙂 You can see her blog post about it by clicking here! I won’t be officially starting until after I get moved and settled (we are moving out of state next month) but we don’t like secrets so couldn’t wait to spill the beans!
A little about CAS-ual Fridays if you are new to the line! They carry the highest quality (made in the USA) photopolymer clear stamps and dies! The line has a variety of themes and backgrounds and sentiments! I encourage you to check out the store! The best news is anytime you use my code LAUREL2016 at checkout, you will save 15% on your order!! Yup, that’s how Michelle rolls! I will put this badge on my blog sidebar so it will always be there for easy referencing if you order from the shop. 15% off just every time you use the code LAUREL2016! How awesome is that! The code does not expire and you can use it as many times as you want. And the shipping? Pretty awesome pricing.
I made a trio of cards a few mornings ago with the Butterbows stamp set. Those butterflies! Swoon! I stamped the butterflies with the Brutus Monroe Gradient ink pads twice to create an ombre circle of butterflies. I wanted to film a video showcasing these cards, but my AC went out upstairs and its like a sauna up there! I will shoot a remake as soon as my AC gets fixed because I really want to you see this amazing stamp set (those butterflies are delicious) paired with these super cool gradient ink pads. They are unique and you get a perfectly blended gradient impression every time.
The sentiments are from the same stamp set. I stamped them with Versamark ink and then heat set them with the Brutus Monroe Sterling embossing powder. Let’s look at a few close ups of each card.
This first card uses a gradient ink pad that isn’t available for purchase at this moment. I’m not sure why. Will look into it.
That’s it for now!!! I’ll be back here on the blog on the 16th for a super fun blog hop using some new stamps from The Ton! I’ll see you then.
Goodies used:

Congratulations, Laurel!!! Love the gradient butterflies. I’ve been wanting to try those ink pads from Brutus Monroe. Such a unique pad. Hope your AC gets fixed soon, mostly for your comfort, but also selfishly so you’ll film a video and give your honest opinion about stamping with the ombre pads. bwahahaha
Hi Laurel ~ Your cards are gorgeous as always and butterflies have a special meaning for me too. Congratulations on being a member of the Cas-Ual Fridays DT; they’re lucky to have you. Sorry about your AC….that stinks. Right now it’s perfectly comfortable here in NY!! Thanks for sharing these stunning cards, love the ombre look. ~HUGS~
Love your gradient butterflies, so beautiful! Big congratulations too!!!
Congratulations, Laurel! But please, try to show some excitement now. 🙂 Love your cards. You’re right–those butterflies are spectacular! Hope your moving process is going smoothly (assuming you’ve started), and that your A/C gets fixed pronto. Living in Texas, I know how necessary air conditioning is this time of year! I would guess even more so where you are. Take care! ~ Andrea
