Go nuts!!!

By Laurel on August 21, 2009

Today, I participated in two challenges. I am becoming a whiz at combining challenges. Here is my dilema. I follow so many great blogs via google reader! I can’t bear to unfollow any of them! The problem? It leaves me with too many challenges that I want to participate in! Can anyone else relate?!?

Onward to the challenge and submisson. I participated in Taylor Expressions Sketch Challenge and the SPCC Finally Friday challenge! The SPCC challenge was to create a project using a fancy border. The Taylor Expressions challenge was a sketch! So, here we go…..

TESC79(sketch) DSC_0022

I somehow came across this technique of making a border using a circle punch. Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant. I never thought of that. Used my Cuttlebug to dry emboss the card. Used my new edge distresser from Close To My Heart (thanks Sue) that came in the mail TODAY (yea, I couldn’t wait to give it a whirl and just love it!!!) to distress the edges of the DP and the circle. And used Papertrey Ink’s My Punny Valentine stamp set for the image and sentiment…  Didn’t dare attempt to tie a bow today after two hours of pure and utter failure yesterday, so just did a quick knot and even THAT didn’t turn out right! I swear.. No do you see why I wear flip flots and slip ons? I don’t even think I could tie my own shoe laces!*!*!*!  Hope you enjoy this CAS card.

Supplies:

Papertrey Ink: Burnt Sienna Ink, My Punny Valentine stamp set, ribbon
Other: Close To My Heart edge distresser, corner rounder, DP, marvy circle punch
