Hi there! Today I had a birthday party to go for one of my college friends sons…. Naturally, I wanted until the absolute last minute to get them a gift card, let alone make something to hold the gift cards in. Yup, I said cards, plural. I had to make TWO! This Diagonal window die is a PERFECT PEEKABOO panel and helped me whip up a gift card holder quickly.
I ran the die thru my die cutting machine twice and flicked on some color with my Gansai Watercolors. I grabbed the Wish Big stamp set and watercolored those babies in using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers (available in open stock HERE, meaning you don’t have to buy an entire set, yea baby) and fed them thru the twine (was part of some packaging in an order I saved) and then adhered the entire panel to a card base with foam dimension.
I lost one of the balloons I watercolored on the mess of my desk and was happy to see a cute little monster from Lawn Fawn’s Monster Mash stamp set looking up at me and saying, “use me, use me” – so I did! Never did find that balloon either!
And when I said last minute, I meant it. I photographed these cards in the trunk of my car, lol!!! Right outside the party before walking in….. AND I edited the photos on my Iphone with an app, lol!!!! I love this die. I think I shall use it for all gift cards. How fun to untie the twine and pop open the panel and bam, a gift card! Adorbs!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have an awesome rest of the weekend!
