I made this card inspired by the Denami Sketch Challenge and the Off The Wall Color Challenge. Still trying to practice at using Perfect Pearls inspired by Jennifer McGuire’s Holiday Thinking Inking course, I thought I would practice here on this card. I practiced for the first time on my card here. Started with some patterned paper from Basic Grey (Granola). The colors weren’t as blue as I need so I covered the surface with Tim Holtz Broken China Distress Ink. I then inked up the cut out with Tim Holtz distress inks and covered it with blue Perfect Pearls .Using the “kissing technique” I “kissed” the Hero Arts flourish design on my cut out. Hope you like it.
This morning, we are lounging around in our pjs. First day out of school so we are doing nothing but relaxing. Nice not to get up and run out the door, isn’t it…
Stamps: Hero Arts Bold Flourish; Perfect Pearls; water spritzer; Stampin’ Up scalloped edge punch; Tim Holtz Distress Ink; Twine; PTI cardstock
Love all of the techniques you used on your card. Great way to incorporate the challenges too.
lovely card! Very cool techniques and a super way to use the sketch 🙂
Very cute, Laurel! 🙂 I love your use of Perfect Pearls and how you stamped the background. I seriously need to break out my Perfect Pearls more often. Great job with both challenges!
Wow what a great job using Perfect Pearls! I love the effect it gives! Thanks for playing with OTWC this week!
