First Day of School

By Laurel on September 26, 2007

Today, Lucas attended his first day of school. I have enrolled him in a mother’s morning out program. This session, he will attend one day a week. Each parent has to work one day each session, so I chose to work his first day. He had a great time. He swang on a big boy swing, made hand print place mats, painted, sang, read stories, had snack time and lunch time with the other kids and FELL ASLEEP while we were there! He slept the last hour of school. For those of you that know me at all, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know I am quite nervous about leaving him there next week, but I will say my prayers and keep my fingers crossed. I think he will have fun with the kids. The age range is 18 months – 2 1/2 years.  The teacher took a couple of photos so once she sends them to me, I will update this entry with the pics!

Congratulations to what sounds like a wonderful mommy. Continue to enjoy Lucas. I had four children; a minute ago they were beside me. I turned my head…and they are gone.

    Blessings and joy,
