Today, I decided I needed to get started on my teacher’s gifts! I went to the craft store and picked up my supplies, and got started on the project. This is one of the cards I made. One of the items I have seen on a lot of cards lately (Kelly, Tiffany, etc)… is glossy accents, so I picked that up today, and I love it. I put it on my apple, and just love how it shines.
Originally, the first thing I thought about doing was adding glitter to the apple.
WHY OH WHY do I even bother with glitter?!? It is messy, it never turns out right, and all I ever end up doing is throwing stuff away and for the next few days, I find little specks of glitter everywhere….
Glossy accents? NO MESS and I love the shine!!!
I ordered the latest PTI Teacher’s Sets designed by Nicki Estes and I adore them. She didn’t leave a single thing off of those sets! Can’t wait to play with the other images and background builders. I wanted some dimension so I adhered everything with pop dots.
Thanks to the What If Sketch challenge this week. I have seen Ayana and some others participate and I never have before. Thanks for stopping by! And leave me a comment! Those just make my day!!!!
PTI: Ink, School Time stamp set, twine; Ink: Versafine; Other: Stampin’ Up scalloped punch, pop dots, glossy accents
This card is so super sweet! I just love that background and shiny apple!
I just love Glossy Accents too. I use it all the time. It’s a staple in my crafting.
Love the shiny apple… yum! Great design and love how you tied the notepad with the striped string. Totally great work.
Love this card, Laurel. =)
I didn’t have much of an interest in this set when I first saw it… (being that I don’t have any children yet) LoL… But you are making me want to take a second look at it. Your card is so fun and so cute!
Ahhhh.. Thanks Ayana. That is so sweet!
Great stamping – love the background and the bright colors! Thanks for taking on the challenge at Repeat Impressions.
