Essentials by Ellen Late Summer Release Blog Hop with Full Reveal video and Giveaways

Hello!!!! It’s here!!! It’s HERE! It’s finally here!  Welcome to the Late Summer 2016 Essentials by Ellen Release Hop! You should have arrived by way of the fabulous TERI ANDERSON!  Today, I’ll be sharing three cards with you all showcasing a few of the new stamp sets and dies from the release! I made a ton more projects using other products from the release, but today I’ll only be focusing on three products! So be sure to stay tuned here on the blog to see more projects using the other products…   I also have a FULL REVEAL video to go along with this post that will showcase every stamp set and die set in the release so be sure to check that out as well! Let’s take a look at the three cards I’ve made today:

IMG_2691

PINEAPPLES!!!!! ACK! They are so on trend right now and I didn’t own one thing pineapplish so this is absolutely perfection!!!! I made three very different, but yet still clean and simple, cards today using the Stay Golden stamp set and coordinating die.

IMG_2659

I’ve got a very clean and simple card here! I stamped the pineapple and tuft (I had to actually google what the name of the top of the pineapple is called, lol) onto watercolored cardstock in Versamark and heat set it with Gold Embossing powder. Then I did some very simple watercoloring using my Gansai watercolors! I added the panel to the card base I stamped with the Thin Stripes background stamp.  The sentiment!!!! I stamped Mahalo from the Stay Golden stamp set and then die cut the Sunshine die from the Sunshine Block N Script die set multiple times and stacked them on top of each other and then adhered them down to my card! I think the pairing from the sentiment in the stamp set and the die cut go perfectly together! Added a bit of glitter over the top of the “sunshine” and voila! Look at all the sparkle and shine from the Gold embossing!

IMG_2661

Next up, I stamped the Pineapples in different colors onto a card base and ink blended the edges a bit with some Tumbled Glass distress ink. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Essentials by Ellen Vellum and heat embossed it and adhered it over the top of the card base to give that soft overlay look.

IMG_2681

I love that the Stay Golden stamp set also has little flowers! Great fillers for a background.

IMG_2683

And my last card, and obviously the busiest, lol!!!! A watercolored pineapple card!!!! HAHAHA! That’s pretty much all I did. I stamped, watercolored and die cut a bunch of those adorable pineapples and mounted them to watercolored card panel with foam dimension (used the Gansai watercolors for all the watercoloring)… I had a lot of fun making this one!! 🙂

Before I go, I thought I would share with you a video that showcases all the stamps and dies from this release!!!!!! You can watch it right here or over on my youtube channel in HD by clicking HERE!

great release, thank for showing us, i think my favorite is the lovely sentiments, but it’s all fab. I don’t have any Essentials by Ellen but I like that they come in their pockets and with magnetic sheets, not only save you buying the things but also makes less waste as you keep the packaging! i think that’s genius 😉

Welcome to Connecticut, Laurel (FYI, our state flower is Mountain Laurel)! We’ve called this home for the past 32 years, and there’s a lot to like here. In the next few weeks, some of the leaves will begin to show their autumn finery, which is a treat that I never tire of seeing. Raking them up is a different story, but I digress. (Extra trivia points: I was born in Florida, and my mother’s name was Florida.) Anyway…I’m a sucker for a good, detailed let-me-introduce-the-new-crafting-goodies video. Your enthusiasm is contagious! It was also nice to be reminded of the terrific way in which the products are packaged. Gotta love that. Those mondo peonies are really calling my name – I’d love to try my hand with coloring some of those beauties. (Another note for your list of Things To Do In Connecticut In June – if you like 3D peonies, there’s a place in Thomaston called Cricket Hill Garden. It’s quite special, and it’s well worth the trek, even if you live in another part of CT. The state’s not that big. Most, if not all, of what they have is peonies. They do sell online, but the real delight is going there in May or June when the peonies-in-residence are at their peak. They have ancient varieties you won’t find anywhere else. Even if you think you don’t like peonies, it’s worth the trip just to see if you might change your mind.) Thanks so much for the inspiration you’ve offered here!

All threes of your cards are so fantastic! I especially love the one with the vellum overlay but I also love the black and white stripes with the gold accents on the first one too and the watercolored one is so vibrant and happy and the sentiment is very cool, so I guess I especially love them all, lol!

LOVE love LOVE the pineapple, the Hawaiian words, too! I live in Hawaii and have been dying to see some stamps that highlight pineapples and our language. Mahalo nui loa!! Can’t wait to get this set. Mahalo, too, for the beautiful card samples as inspiration.
